Looking for a new pair of glasses? Want to try something new and cool? Well, its no secret that Warby Parker has been releasing some really great styles that I am loving. Some of these styles that I will be sharing with you today are clear-framed. I really liking transparent frames these days because they go with anything like black frames, but these are softer on your face.
But then there’s nothing better than medicine like supercharged soups that heal the body and soothe the soul; just like mom’s and grandma’s. So, today I’m going to be sharing with you a delicious comfort soup for when you are sick, or someone you love is sick. My mom made this for us all the time whether we were sick or not because it was the only way that we would eat our vegetables without whining. Now let me tell you that I am not an expert in the kitchen, but I CAN make this! This is Mexican style chicken soup, or as I know it in Spanish, Caldo de Pollo. When I was young, I would help grandma and mom make this soup. I guess you could say that this is how I learned how to chop vegetables as we sat down together, peeled and chopped vegetables, and chit-chatted with laughter.
I don’t know about you, but I have been called four-eyes during my life. At first, it wasn’t something I was proud of and I would wear my contacts instead. Yet, as I grew older, I learned to love my glasses because they are a part of who I am. Needless to say that the words “nerdy” and “geeky” have been given an ironic twist these past couple years. That’s right, nerdy and geeky is in; and its got Warby Parker written all over it. But aside from this fashion claim, I want to share a little story with you that happened to me this past year and early this month. Part of this story entails a wonderful experience with an eyewear company named Warby Parker and their Home Try-On program that I am just dying to share with you.
Well, have I got a new one for you guys! I know I have been going on about the Poshmark app lately, but it isn’t the only one that I use to keep my house clutter-free. As parents, we know how expensive it can get to get your hands on some decent portraits of our children as they’re growing up. There’s also the fact that our children grow up so fast. Well, if you’re anything like me (on a budget or otherwise, poor), here’s an idea that doesn’t drain your account: DIY white backdrop photography!DIY toddler photography!
Follow my blog with Bloglovin I am in sugar heaven! Loving these biscochos (Mexican wedding cookies) that my mom made. Well, she didn’t really make them for me, but I love bringing some home with me every time I go visit her. The little white empanadas are small shortbread cookies folded like a mini taco the size of your thumb, coated with confectioners sugar, and filled with dreamy and indulging strawberry jelly. The anise star shaped ones are sprinkled (ok, covered) in natural brown sugar and cinnamon. You would probably think I really am eating in slow motion. I make eating them that good, haha! Although I already ate all of them up, here’s a little bit of eye candy.
